Welcome back to Term 1 at New Horizons Children's Academy. I hope all of our families have had a restful and enjoyable summer break. Welcome also to new children and families in Early Years and across other year groups that are new to our school community.
It has been a real pleasure to start as Headteacher this week and meet many children, parents and staff. The children have started the term with positive attitudes to their learning and settled quickly into their new class routines. We have discussed in assembly the TSAT values of 'Child First, Aspire, Challenge and Achieve' as well as the things that are important to our school community like treating each other with kindness and respect and working together as a team.
I look forward to getting to know everyone over the coming months. Please feel free to come and say hello if you see me on one of the gates at drop off and pick up. I will also be interested to hear ideas and suggestions from parents and will be seeking parental views going forward. I will be holding two informal coffee morning/afternoons if you would like to come along and meet me. These will be held on Friday 20th September between 9.00 a.m. and 10 a.m. and on Monday 23rd September between 2.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m.
