This week, New Horizons Children’s Academy welcomed Violet from Invicta Court Care Home in Maidstone. Violet had always wanted to be a primary school teacher, but was unable to fulfil her dream when she was younger due to her family becoming ill, meaning that she had to care for them from a very young age.
Many years had past and Violet thought she had lost the chance to teach, but her carers were able to make her wishes come true with the support of staff and children at New Horizons.
During her wonderful visit, Violet spent time in the Year 2 classes, supporting them with their learning and interacting with the children. It was lovely to see two generations coming together to share this experience.
